Shanti laid the tray next to Gamin. "Here, I also went to the medic and got this for you, if you want it, that is." She handed him a bottle of medicine and stood up and went to sit next to Celebrine, who still wouldn't look at Gamin. 'What is wrong with him?' she wondered. 'Not that I'm upset over it,' she quickly assured herself. 'This probably gives us some delay before we go to Farlow.'
Gamin ignored the food Shanti had brought him. He didn't know what kind of effect it would have on his already upset stomach and personally didn't feel like sitting up again, in case he had another dizzy spell.
The Colonel reentered the tent and sat at the foot of Gamins bed. "Do you think you're up for the job tomorrow?" she asked. Tomorrow? Was he out that long? Gamin looked at the Colonel. "I should be fine," he lied. He looked up at the ceiling again and the Colonel got up and left once more. Gamin began to wand why General Ominnas had asked him what he had seen. Did something like that happen before? Gamin held up the bottle of medicine Shanti had given him to eye-level, thinking about what had happened.
Celebrine sighed and stood up. "I'll be back later,"  "Worried about me?"
Celebrine stopped in her tracks and turned to see Gamin smiling cruelly at her. "Hardly," she retorted.
She walked out of the tent, but was pulled aside by the General. "Keep an eye on 'im," he said. He walked away without saying any more. When he was out of sight Celebrine began walking, letting her feet carry her anywhere. Soon she arrived at the stream where she had met up with Serendrae the morning before. She looked around, going through the events that happened only that morning. "Has it really been an entire day since that happened?" she asked herself. Celebrine ran through the day again in her mind.
She had woken up early. Her encounter with Serendrae had occurred only shortly after. Then Gamin and Shanti came and there was that struggle and the Lt. Colonel's arrival and interference. They left for the Fields after that, which took a while to get to. Then the training and Gamin's ordeal happened.
Celebrine looked at the flowing water of the stream. She sighed and turned around. She started running back to the Fields to train by herself. She needed to be ready if she was going to save her father. As she was passing though the camp, a stone structure that she'd never seen before caught her attention. She stopped and studied the sign posted above the doorway. The Oasmerian alphabet was different from Iragni's, so it took her awhile to decipher it. Her eyes grew wide as she whispered "Prisoners". She began running again thinking about her find. Celebrine continued to run across the rocky terrain until finally she reached the Fields.
'I need to practice my Ki or I won't have a chance against the warriors here or in Iragni,' she told herself.
Part 1 of Chapter 3 (about time! I've had it finished for a while now, sorry!)
